# de Broglie Equation

## Introduction

Moving particles; such as electrons, protons, and neutrons; have wave properties as described by the de Broglie equation:

= h / p

where is wavelength, h is Planck's constant (6.62618x10^{-34} J·s), and p is the momentum of the particle. Beams of particles can therefore show wave effects such as diffraction.
