Laser Spectroscopy


Lasers revolutionized spectroscopy when they were invented in the early 1960's. They provide an electromagnetic radiation source that is intense, directional, and coherent. Lasers allow high-resolution absorption and emission studies. The links below describe some of the new types of spectroscopies that were not possible using conventional light sources.
